Seven Seas Water shares experiences at CBWMP Drought Management Conference, May 27-28 in St. Lucia

Seven Seas Water will make a presentation at the upcoming Caribbean Basin Water Management Programme’s Drought Management Conference.  On May 27-28, 2010, representatives of Governments and water utilities across the Caribbean will gather to share experiences and expertise in regard to Drought Management issues and challenges. 

SUMMARY

The Caribbean Basin Water Management Programme Inc., in collaboration with the Caribbean Development Bank is holding a Conference on Drought Management: Issues, Challenges and Lessons for Caribbean Water Utilities.  In light of the recent prolonged drought that began in early 2010 – the Conference will address issues related to the drought and potential prolonged effects for Caribbean water utilities.  The conference will highlight the main factors that contribute to droughts in the region, review policies in place in various countries and review procedures in place to manage droughts in the region.  Water utilities will share their experiences, assisting in the development of an “Action Plan” which can be used to manage droughts in the future.

PRESENTATION

Shawn Meyer Steele, VP/Director of Business Development at Seven Seas Water, on behalf of the Caribbean Desalination Association, will share his experiences and expertise in regard to utilizing reverse osmosis technologies for desalination as a short and long term solution to drought conditions.
