07/29/09

On June 24 the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority held a dedication ceremony for their new reverse osmosis facility in St. Croix. The plant, which was designed, constructed and is operated by Seven Seas Water, was commissioned and delivering 1.5 million gallons per day in a record-setting 92 days from contract signing. The increased supply will help mitigate water shortages for the island of St. Croix while the existing WAPA thermal desalination facility undergoes an equipment overhaul.
