As an Operations Engineer for a sea water reverse osmosis water production facility in the Caribbean or Latin America, the principal responsibility is to ensure the efficient operations of reverse osmosis water treatment plants and to facilitate construction of new water treatment plants as business growth dictates. The Operations Engineer will support the Site Supervisor in leading the local Operations staff and interaction as required with clients is expected. Working cross-functionally with Engineering/Project Management, Field Services and Business Development teams is expected to facilitate further growth of the business. Maximizing plant uptime, driving efficiency, and maintaining a safe work environment are essential components of the role.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Plant Operator will be to operate and maintain reverse osmosis seawater desalination plants in the Caribbean or Latin America. The position includes various types of manual labor, recording data and maintaining and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment – requiring the skill level consistent with a Level 1 or 2 technician with work experience. The position requires working “shift work” and will include the need to be on duty during nights, weekends and holidays.
