Vice President of Business Development

Seven Seas Water is seeking a Vice President of Business Development focused in the Greater Caribbean / Americas.  Candidates must be fluent in English, an experienced traveler with no international travel restrictions, be familiar with the region and have experience with desalination and wastewater treatment services and supply.  The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, good interpersonal skills, experienced in dealing with high profile individuals in the private and public sector, be self-motivated and a team player.   Having existing business relationships in the region and/or the ability to speak Spanish are considered a plus.   Location is negotiable but should be in the general business vicinity with easy access to an international airport as it is expected that approximately 30% of the time candidate’s time will be spent traveling.  Regular trips to the company’s Tampa Office will also be required.  The candidate should be available to start ASAP.  Compensation package is generous with competitive benefits.    

Job Description:  
The role of VP of BD is to promote and expand the business interests and strategic objectives of the company through identification of, development of, and closing of new business opportunities.  Specific duties include:
1)       Development of new business opportunities that fit the SSW business profile through expansion of existing and developing network.
2)       Evaluation and development of leads generated by others in the company.
3)       Development, maintenance and fostering of meaningful and useful business relationships with existing clients, potential contacts, peer network, and useful centers of influence.
4)       Where needed, creating & maintaining a presence for SSW through direct regular visitation and/or effectively employing local representation. 
5)       Increase SSW presence and standing through participation in relevant organizations and conferences.
6)       Coordinate and exchange information in a timely manner for most efficient use of resources with rest of group.
7)       Effectively and professionally preparing & presenting presentations &  proposals for clients/potential clients.
8)       Being able to utilize, build, and understand financial models used to developing pricing.
9)       Contribute to the creation of company marketing material in conjunction with marketing.  
10)   Stay abreast of relevant developments, projects, trends etc. that could have material value or impact the company through networking, conferences, learning, etc.

Operations Engineer – Caribbean and Latin American Region

As an Operations Engineer for a sea water reverse osmosis water production facility in the Caribbean or Latin America, the principal responsibility is to ensure the efficient operations of reverse osmosis water treatment plants and to facilitate construction of new water treatment plants as business growth dictates. The Operations Engineer will support the Site Supervisor in leading the local Operations staff and interaction as required with clients is expected. Working cross-functionally with Engineering/Project Management, Field Services and Business Development teams is expected to facilitate further growth of the business. Maximizing plant uptime, driving efficiency, and maintaining a safe work environment are essential components of the role.

Plant Operator – Caribbean and Latin American Region

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Plant Operator will be to operate and maintain reverse osmosis seawater desalination plants in the Caribbean or Latin America. The position includes various types of manual labor, recording data and maintaining and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment – requiring the skill level consistent with a Level 1 or 2 technician with work experience. The position requires working “shift work” and will include the need to be on duty during nights, weekends and holidays.
